The UGREEN DH2300 is £167.99 today, at or below the lowest price we have recorded for it (£176.91 on 25 Jul 2026). The best-value drive to fill it at a genuine low is the WD Red Pro 22TB at £365.00 (£16.59/TB).
The DH2300 is UGREEN's budget two-bay: a Rockchip ARM unit with 4GB of soldered memory and 2.5GbE, aimed at phone backups and replacing a cloud photo plan. On its own it is cheap; the real cost depends on the drives. Below we check the enclosure against our log, then add the two cheapest matching drive pairs today for a full mirrored total.

Frequently asked questions
Can the DH2300 run Plex?
It can serve media for direct play, but its ARM chip cannot transcode 4K well. If you need transcoding, the Intel DXP2800 is the step up.
Can I upgrade the DH2300's memory?
No, its 4GB is soldered. That is enough for backups, photo search and file sharing, but limits Docker and virtual machines.
What drives should I put in a DH2300?
Two matching NAS-rated CMR drives, sized for your data plus growth. The fill table below shows the two cheapest pairs at today's prices.
Is the DH2300 a good Google Photos replacement?
Yes for most families. UGREEN's photo app backs up phones automatically and searches faces and objects on the device, with no subscription.
